Terms and Disclaimer

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Important: JPOS is a business tool. It does not give tax, accounting, payroll, legal or financial advice.

Using JPOS

By using the app you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the business you use JPOS for. You are responsible for keeping your login safe and for what people you invite do in your business.

Disclaimer on calculations

JPOS calculates figures such as profit, GST, PAYG withholding, superannuation and payslips from the information you enter and from published rates and tables. These are estimates to help you. They may be incomplete or out of date and do not cover every situation (for example some tax offsets, study loans, leave, awards or special arrangements). You are responsible for checking every figure with a registered tax agent, bookkeeper or the Australian Taxation Office before you lodge, pay or rely on it.

Offer, pricing and stock suggestions are ideas only. You decide what to do with them.

Your data

You own the data you enter. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Product names, barcodes and photos you add may join the shared catalog used by other shops.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, break the law, upload harmful or unlawful content, or try to access other businesses' data or interfere with the service.

Availability and access

We work hard to keep JPOS running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. We may suspend access to a business, for example for non-payment, misuse or a request from its owner.

Fees

Early access may be free. If paid plans are introduced we will tell you the price and billing terms before you are charged.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on estimates, or by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will change the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
